Rare Sports Memorabilia Showcased in Weiss Auctions Catalog

The latest auction offering from Weiss Auctions has sports memorabilia enthusiasts buzzing with excitement. The catalog is packed with highly coveted items, ranging from autographed pieces by baseball legends like Babe Ruth, to unique collectibles such as a 1952 Topps Roy Campanella card and an Olympic torch from the 1936 Berlin games.

One of the standout pieces in the auction is the only PSA-registered autographed 1952 Topps Roy Campanella card, with bids soaring towards an impressive $40,000. Collectors eager to own a piece of history can also find a plethora of Ruth-signed collectibles, including a rare 1946 minor league scorecard and various personal photos and signatures. For Jackie Robinson enthusiasts, a signed index card from 1952 is an enticing option.

Additionally, collectors have the opportunity to bid on a highly sought-after 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle card graded SGC 3, along with nearly complete sets from 1952 that are missing only a few key cards. The auction also offers a complete run of Topps sets from 1956 through 1979, as well as a 1986-87 Fleer Basketball set from “The Toledo Collection,” showcasing cards from the ’40s and ’50s, including Jackie Robinson rookies and Leaf Ruth cards.

Pre-War card enthusiasts will be delighted to find Goudey and T206 Hall of Famers among the items up for bid. Autograph collectors will not be disappointed either, with rare items like the 1937 Los Dragones team sheet signed by iconic players such as Josh Gibson, Satchel Paige, and James “Cool Papa” Bell.

The auction catalog boasts over 400 lots, with online pre-bidding already open. The event will culminate in a live webcast finale on Wednesday, March 27, at 10 AM Eastern time. With such a vast array of sports memorabilia spanning decades of history, this auction is a must-see for any serious collector or enthusiast.
