Boasting an extensive collection of over 3,600 lots, this auction is a haven for baseball buffs and memorabilia aficionados alike. From complete 1950s baseball card sets to unique vintage cards and even a check autographed by the legendary Honus Wagner post his baseball career, the offerings are nothing short of extraordinary.

Commencing on a grand note, the auction kicked off on Thursday and is slated to run for ten eventful days, showcasing an array of items spanning the early eras of baseball through to contemporary sports cards. Among the notable highlights are gems like a T206 White Border Ty Cobb Bat Off Shoulder card from 1909-1911, displaying a rare Uzit back, and an exceptional Ty Cobb rookie card hailing from the 1907 Wolverine News Postcard series.

The auction further dazzles with vintage baseball sets such as the complete 1957 Topps Set and the nearly whole 1958 Topps set. Not to be overshadowed, high-grade cards from the 1950s Bowman and Topps sets are also in the limelight, featuring rookie cards of baseball icons like Willie Mays, Mickey Mantle, and Sandy Koufax. An additional crowd-pleaser is the complete set break of the revered 1951 Bowman set.

Beyond the realm of cards, the auction boasts captivating memorabilia pieces, including a ticket stub from the 1957 NFL Championship Game and a 1920 Real Photo Postcard capturing the Harvard football team that graced the Rose Bowl.

REA President, Brian Dwyer, exudes enthusiasm about the plethora of offerings at the auction, citing the exceptional quality of the lots following their triumphant $15.4 million spring sale. He also underscores the robust collector interest and the premium calibre of items awaiting bidders.

Enthusiasts and collectors eager to get their hands on these prized possessions can partake in the auction until May 19 on the REA website. With bids for each item commencing at a modest $10, this event not only presents a golden opportunity for collectors to acquire rare and upscale sports memorabilia but also serves as a delightful celebration of the illustrious history of sports collectibles.
